Chopping Boards

To clean a wooden chopping board, first scrape off any food debris with a spatula or cloth. Then wash it with warm water and mild dish soap, scrubbing gently with a sponge; avoid soaking it or putting it in the dishwasher, as that can cause the wood to warp or crack. For deeper cleaning, sprinkle coarse salt or baking soda on the board, rub it with half a lemon, and rinse, then let it air dry upright before storing.

For vegetables, you should use a green chopping board.
