Fragrance

The main difference between perfume, eau de parfum, and eau de toilette lies in the concentration of aromatic compounds. Perfume (or parfum) has the highest concentration, typically between 20-30%, offering a long-lasting scent. Eau de parfum has a concentration of about 15-20%, lasting several hours. Eau de toilette has a lighter concentration of around 5-15%, making it a more subtle fragrance that may need reapplication throughout the day.

For best results, apply fragrance to your pulse points, such as the wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inner elbows. These areas generate heat, which helps to diffuse the scent. Avoid rubbing the fragrance into your skin as it can break down the scent molecules. Additionally, you can spritz the fragrance in the air and walk through the mist for an even application.

To make your fragrance last longer, apply it to moisturized skin. Use an unscented lotion or the matching scented body lotion if available. Layering products from the same fragrance line, such as shower gel, lotion, and perfume, can also enhance longevity. Storing your fragrance in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat will preserve its quality and longevity.
